This policy describes the current Things In Motion app (version 0.8.0) and the website at stardustfoundry.app, operated by Stardust Foundry. For privacy questions, contact foundrystardust@gmail.com.
The app: your creations stay with you
Things In Motion does not require an account. The current app does not send your inventions, challenge progress, or settings to Stardust Foundry. It does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking SDKs, or an app-operated cloud service.
Your inventions, recent saved revisions, challenge progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Your operating system may include app files in device backups depending on your settings; those backups are controlled by you and your platform provider.
Importing, exporting, and sharing
The app accesses invention files you choose to import using the system file picker. Exported invention files contain the machine design and project information, such as its title. Video exports record the app's machine view and are currently silent; they do not record your device camera or microphone.
Files stay on your device unless you choose a destination or share them through another app. The app passes your chosen file to that destination using system file and sharing controls. The receiving service or person may store or share it under their own policies. Check titles and content before sharing.
Local storage and deletion
You can delete saved inventions from the app. Exported files and copies you have shared must be deleted separately from the locations where you saved or sent them. Temporary export folders older than two days are eligible for cleanup the next time you export; they are not guaranteed to be removed after exactly two days.
Removing app data through your device's controls removes its local records, subject to your platform's behavior. On desktop platforms, uninstalling an app may leave its data folder behind. Contact us if you need help finding it. Device backups and copies held by recipients are managed separately.
The website
Our website does not include advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, accounts, or signup forms. Fonts and images are served with the website. Screenshot-gallery selections happen in your browser and are not sent to us.
The website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, Vercel processes technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and access time, to deliver and secure the website. Its infrastructure may process information in other countries. See Vercel's Privacy Notice for its handling of this information.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message, attachments, and other information you choose to send. We use this information to respond, provide support, and resolve the issue. Email is processed through Gmail; see Google's Privacy Policy. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to address the request and maintain necessary support or legal records. You can ask us to delete correspondence we hold, subject to any applicable legal retention requirements.
Children and families
The app's local play features do not ask children for personal information or upload their creations to us. Parents and guardians should supervise sharing and contact with external services. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Your choices and questions
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information we hold, or complain to your local privacy authority. Email foundrystardust@gmail.com to make a request. We cannot retrieve inventions or progress stored only on your device.
App stores, operating-system diagnostics, backup providers, and services you choose for sharing operate under their own privacy policies and your settings. Their independently operated services are separate from the app's local storage and processing described here.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Features such as online accounts or a public community are not part of the current app; if introduced, their data practices will be explained before you use them.
